Easter Sunday

My back got better after the incident on New Years weekend. But at the end of February, it happened again and it's not getting better. I am going to have to go do a doctor and find out what the deal is. In the meantime, I couldn't take the Easter dress pictures I usually take. I asked Tersa to take them. She took them right before taking everyone to church and I don't like most of them. She was in a hurry and didn't pay attention to detail. So, we don't have pictures of the little girls and baby in their dresses. They weren't new dresses, but it is a tradition to take them anyway. Oh well.

Egg Hunting

She really got into it this year! Mardi helped her get started and then she understood. She also knew what was in the eggs and after having found only a few, she wanted to stop and open one up.

Sister love

When the big girls come home from school, they sometimes nap. Anarya is usually asleep when they get home. A couple of times she woke from her nap and joined whoever was in Tersa's bed and slept a little longer.
One of the girls took the one of Keddi and Anarya. I think she fell asleep before we could get her down for her nap.

Last day in San Diego

 

This is where we cooked our meals. The microwave started sparking on the first night when we tried to pop popcorn in it, so we popped it the old fashioned way, in a pot on the stove.

The girls wanted to do a photo shoot so we went across the street from the marina. The picture of Bree is taken in the entryway of the bathroom. We startled some women who came around the corner. But it had the most beautiful lighting! I got fabulous pictures of all the girls there. 

We checked out from the yacht and went to a little shopping place because the girls wanted some souvenirs. It was a cute, touristy place and they were happy to find all the things they wanted. Then we left San Diego and headed to Cami and Wes's house in Barstow, where we also spent the night on the way to San Diego. I found a Chick-Fil-A on the way so that 's where we stopped for lunch!

Day at the Beach

 We got to the beach around 10:00. We spent the first 20 minutes getting pictures of the girls in different places. 

 Bree, Abbi and Mardi. BAM! 

 I was concerned that the ocean would be too cold at the end of March for the girls to enjoy at all. They only spent 15-20 min in the water and didn't go back in, but they were happy. They spent time laying out on the beach and then walked all the way to the other end of the beach where a pier was and walked the length of that as well. We left at around 3:30 or so.

 This was the view we had while sitting on the "patio" of the yacht. I wanted sunset pictures. As luck would have it, it was cloudy that night. (I wish I'd taken them the night before.)

 On each of the nights we were on the yacht, we went to the hot tub at the Sheraton Hotel. We were able to enjoy some of the amenities of the hotel with our rental. When we returned the first night we popped popcorn and watched "Breaking Dawn" and the second night we enjoyed some hot chocolate and the girls watched "Aladdin."

Mardi's 16th birthday trip- San Diego!!

Mardi wanted to go to the beach for her birthday trip. So, I let her know that we would be going to San Diego but that was all I told her. As we drove into the city and headed toward the Marina, the girls started going "No way.... are we...?" I told them that this was how we were getting to our accommodations. It called for a photo op and just before I took the picture I popped out from behind my camera and said "Actually girls, this IS where we are staying."Yeah, we loved it and they were not disappointed about not being walking distance from the beach!

Stylin'

Anarya goes through stages. Lately she has been sporting this hat quite a bit.

Playdough

When the girls are in school, I am at a loss with what to structure for Anarya. And if she isn't watched, she causes trouble. I came across the girls playdough and realized that she is old enough for that! She had a good time, but it has been a while since anyone played with that dough and it was usable, but stiff. I think I just found something to put in her Easter Basket!!

Silliness

Anarya discovered a show called "Yo Gabba Gabba" on her dad's ipad. Weird show. I hope it's a short phase, especially since she has now started doing this.
