Halloween 2012

 Tersa didn't dress up this year. Both she and Mardi thought they had plans but they fell through so both girls ended up being home for the night. We took Anarya out for the first time. She had a ball and when we tried to take her home after going up our street and back, she pitched a fit!! So we took her down another street. She was not happy to be home after that either, but she was getting tired of walking and her bucket was getting too heavy for her to carry.

Silverado Trunk or Treat

 

Anarya was a peacock last year too but I kept it in tact so that she could wear it again. I got this bunch of feathers for her hair this year. The boy she is with is Jackson Schott. She loves him and he visits with her every Sunday at church. This was her first year to Trunk or Trick or Treat and she got the hang of it after a few cars. She was so small though and I had to direct her amongst the other children. We joined with the Stonegate ward. (That's the ward that got some of our members.) So Keddi and Sage got to see Emily Welch (the mad hatter). 

 Bree, Abby and Mardi are BAM and they made t-shirts for their costumes this year. Even though not all of the Richardson's came for Tersa was sure glad to see Krista! Tersa bought amber colored contacts to add to her cat costume, but they didn't really have the affect she thought they would. Oh well.

Black Widow

 We love our Superheros! And this one took some doing. Black leather like jackets are not easy to find and they are expensive! Thank you Amazon!! She LOVED the red hair dye and was willing to sleep on a sleeping bag on her floor so as not to stain anything important. But, we dyed the bottoms of a few socks. (I had no idea how much of it had flaked onto the floor when we'd combed through it.)

She was bummed not to have any guns, but neither the ward party nor her school were going to be too happy about guns. Fingers had to do.

SpiderMAN

  Masks are discouraged at Trunk or Treat activities at church. So, I asked Shar if she wanted her painted. OF COURSE! It turned out well, but all through the Trunk or Treat, she was called Spider-girl. HUH?!?!? Why would she be spider-girl when she can be SpiderMAN? 

(She loved the muscles in this costume SOOOO much. She kept hitting herself on the chest. At the activity she told Bro. Hill to feel them. He took her arm and she indicated the pectoral muscles. He declined.)

Family Pictures

 I have become increasingly frustrated with Kiddie Kandids which is where we have had all of our pictures taken for years. Ok, a couple of times I tried other places but it didn't work out. I was tired of paying a lot of money for really inexperienced photographers and having to set up pictures myself. There is a guy in our ward who takes pictures as a hobby but he has gotten good enough that people hire him. So, I took the girls to him throughout the year. For these pictures we went out to Lake Las Vegas. He has also gotten quite good with his editing program. The pictures turned out fabulously!
