Big Box Fun!

 Our neighbors got a new refrigerator and he put the empty box in his truck. I went over and asked if I could have it. Xavier pulled out the plastic wrapping and hauled the thing over into my patio for me and everything. The girls had fun decorating it. (Even though there was a lot of arguing.) Tersa was the only one who didn't come out. (The baby lost interest much earlier than I thought she would.)

The Wilsons were gone for Anarya's and Shinara's birthday so when they came for Tersa's, Mandy brought presents for Shar and Anarya. Anayra loved hers and I thought it was funny to watch her try to stroll it around like she does her big one.

Tersa's 17th Birthday

We are not huge fans of cake. We like it fine but usually choose other kinds of deserts. Aunt Britnee had a doughnut cake this summer and Tersa loved that idea. So, she made this cake out of Krispy Kremes. The Wilson's came over tonight to celebrate.

Anarya and Canela

 While the car washing was going on, the dogs next door were out so Anarya went through her ritual of trying to engage them. A few months ago, they were given a chiuaua pup. It's a skittish little thing and for a long time she would not come near Anarya. Their older dog took years before she'd let any of us near her too. (They had found and adopted her and think she had been abused.)

 Canela (cinnamon in Spanish) now teases Anarya. When she isn't looking, she will follow her and when she holds out her hand, the pup will come real close and then suddenly take off running. That doesn't deter Anarya, every time she sees the dogs, she holds out her hand, or squats down making kissing noises with her lips or patting her legs to get them to come.

 Anayra likes to sweep. She pulls out the kitchen broom sometimes but no one fusses at her when she takes the outside broom out to sweep. So, she likes to sweep outside best. (Mom prefers that too.)

Car Washin'

 It's Tersa's birthday today. It's fast Saturday and we were invited to a wedding reception tonight. So, we put off birthday celebrations till Monday night. The Wilson's will come over for doughnut "cake." And Joel bought a bunch of materials for car washing. When I came out, Joel gestured he would squirt Shar (who was standing in front of that tire at first.) And that is how the car washing started.

 It's not a terrible way to spend your birthday! After all, the next car they did was the teenagers car!

 And squirting the baby is how the car washing ended.
