Just a matter of time

I have been grateful that we have round handles on our door because it has kept this one in better. Still, all too soon she had the turning figured out. Locking helps with the front door, but here she is, keys in hand. We just have to keep an eye on her. She has already escaped out the back door when the little girls are out and leave the garage door open. Scary! (Check out that calf muscle. I think she works on this more than I know!)

Cucumbers

It's really just too bad cucumbers don't offer much in nutrition. It's about the only green thing this baby will eat. And she LOVES them!

Easter Egg Dying

 It has become our tradition to dye eggs after Easter. And we like it just fine. We hunt plastic eggs filled with candy so we just don't need them before.

Who in their right mind would try to help a two year old put an egg in colored water (that could seriously ruin anything it spilled on) and then make them wait long enough for the egg to change color? Not me. So, Joel took Anarya on a walk. (And the girls could still do three eggs each.)

Easter Dresses

 I have always enjoyed buying Easter Dresses for the girls, but it has become increasingly difficult to do for the older girls. And since I have done so for so many years, the little girls have plenty of dresses. So, this year, Shar is wearing one that Keddi got new. Anayra is wearing one that Mandy gave us and Keddi is the only one with a new dress. I didn't buy it. Well, not all of it.

There will be a fifth grade dance at the end of the school year and Keddi got two invitations to go. She told one of them no and the other yes, so we had to talk about dates. She had to break it to the other boy that she couldn't go "with" him but I suggested she tell each boy that she would be glad to dance with him. She said that she wanted a new dress, a fancy one and I said they were expensive and she would have to pay for half of it. So, she got to work. I posted her quest on Facebook and a few people offered to have her do some things for them. We ended up finding this dress on sale and she was able to buy the shoes too!! I told her that since I normally buy a new Easter dress, I would pay for half of the dress but that she was on her own for the shoes. She had earned enough and bought the shoes. She was so excited to dress up for the dance. In the meantime she wore the dress to my cousins wedding and also for Easter.

Easter Egg Hunting

 Mardi helped Anarya get the gist of what was supposed to happen.


It only took a couple of times helping her find the eggs and then she was off on her own. The problem was that she knew there was something in the eggs and just wanted to sit and open them rather than find the ones designated for her.

Mardi and Tersa both helped hide eggs this year and it was the first time Mardi didn't hunt. Soon, we will have fewer girls in the line up too!

Park

The Wellborns moved away some time ago. But they spent Spring Break in town and invited us to spend time with them at the park one day. The little girls were particularly excited. We had already made plans for the day so we didn't stay long, but some time is better than none!

  This was only the second time Anarya got to explore a park. She loved climbing, swinging and sliding. Well, she loved sliding with one of the girls. But when she was helped down her own, she wasn't so sure sliding was all that great.
