Here are some of the people that came to Cami's wedding. All of these were taken at the temple as we waited for them to come out.

This is Cousin Janie, Cousin Allie, a husband of one of theirs, Uncle Jack and Aunt Angie.

Dad started putting a flower petal up one of his nostrils. He got Makayla's attention and she decided to try it out. Evidently, Dad and Caleb found it rather amusing.

I thought this one of Caleb, Makayla and Marcie was fun.

Quinn was trying to rest a bit, but Amber and Savannah were bored or something.

Pennies by the Inch

Pennies by the Inch is an annual campaign to raise funds for the Primary Children's Medical Center in Utah. Every year our stake encourages donations and each ward is supposed to plan an activity for this purpose. Since I am the activities committee chairman, I get to plan the activities and we had ours Sept. 11th. This year we had a Talent Show. Never again. It turned out great but was a bit of a headache.Randy Martin, Joel, Kalvin Hone and Jonathon Wilford sang love at home in the Barbershop Quartet style. It was great.
Shinara and Keddi performed the Cheetah girls "Girl Power" song with their friend Emily Welch. It was adorable!!
The band and orchestra kids were going to have a battle of sorts but we thought it up only two weeks before the show and it proved to be an insufficient amount of time. They performed their pieces anyway, just separately.

Blackberries

A friend of mine recently spoke of a trip she and her family took to Oregon to visit her brother's family. She says there are blackberry bushes everywhere and no matter where they went, no one was at the bushes picking any. Being desert rats from Vegas, she and her family approached some bushes and picked a bunch. They took them "home", washed them and had their fill. She asked her brother why no one else could be seen picking blackberries. He told her that the bushes grow like weeds and grow all over. The "natives" don't really notice. She began to consider what the blackberries are in her life. She decided at this time in her life, it is her children. Her analogy got people thinking. Me included. Interestingly enough though, I am very aware of the blackberries in my life. She meant what are the things that are around us all the time that we just take for granted and don't notice anymore. But I am far too aware of the blessings in my life that I take for granted. I see the blackberries, I know they are there. I need to make the time to actually pick them. Slow down and enjoy them. Blackberry season will end all too soon.

Tersa's b-day party

I thought I would post this because this year Tersa decorated her own cake. And can I tell you how jealous Keddi was? At least three times she said "Oh Tersa go to decorate her own cake?!" Guess I've started something. Again.

Happy Birthday Tersa!

We celebrated Tersa's birthday on the night of Aug. 31st this year because she has Young Women's activities on Tues. nights. Wilsons came and had cake with us. 

Joel has a plan. Well, o.k., he has many plans and not all of them are going to come to fruition (like the girls not dating until they are 28.) But I have mentioned that for certain birthdays he plans to present each of the girls with different pieces of fine jewelry that have their birthstone. So, the 14th year is earrings to go with the necklaces he gives them for their 12th birthday. 

Those two years went by pretty quick.
