Ragball

Last year I posted some pictures (and a video I think) of Keddi playing ball with my brothers. Our new stake does "ragball" and since Keddi is in Sr. primary this year, I asked if she was interested in trying it out. I quickly explained the rules and point of the game to her as we practiced and waited for our turn. Luckily they have a light bat. Every time she got up to bat she hit the ball and each time she got it to go further and further out. The last time she hit, it went past the pitcher.
I do have to say though, she sure runs like a girl. At least at "take off." She looked like she was flying. And it always seemed to catch her off guard that she needed to run after the ball was hit!

Tersa's New Do

Keddi's New Do

I like Keddi's hair this length. (1st picture) But it gets all stringy and unless I blow dry it (which she doesn't like,) it doesn't look good for very long after brushing it. She wanted an extreme cut. I asked the hairdresser to not cut it quite so short as Keddi wanted. It's cute and she loves it.

Easter Dresses

Only Tersa got a new dress this year. Because of the purchases of new ones every year, the younger girls now have too many to justify a new one for this Easter. 

Unfortunately for the younger girls, that will probably be the case for many years to come.

More Easter

Joel's favorite hiding place. A maintenance hole in the ground. Mardi wouldn't reach in to get it because there were spiders down there. (Smart girl. It was probably black widows!) So, Keddi reached in to retrieve the egg.

Easter Egg Hunt

Since we moved into this house, we have always done our Sat. Easter Egg Hunt at the "park" at the back of our neighborhood. But Joel had to clean up after way too many dogs last year and the thought of it was rather disgusting. So we decided to go our old church building. Kris came to help Joel hide the eggs. Joel is still sick and because of the double ear infections he had, his balance was a little off. 

After the egg hunt, the girls inspected their baskets and most of the kids played with the bubbles the little girls got in their baskets. I've decided to post more of those tomorrow since I got some cute shots and this post has plenty of pictures already.

Springs Preserve

On our last day of Spring Break we went to the Springs Preserve with Wilson's. They have building with exhibits and the grounds have desert plants and trails. We did a lot of walking and were quite tired when we left.

This exhibit was a Las Vegas land auction. I took a picture of each of the girls with a different statue.

There was a play area with cliffs, and fossil bones 

to climb. There was a train and water works. This was fun.

The little girls are building Vegas. We enjoyed the animals that we got to see. The bats were difficult to see but we sure enjoyed some of the lizards they had. And I took lots of pictures of the flowers they had out.

Easter

We hope you have a reflective Easter. The Savior lives and our lives are blessed so much because of our testimonies. We love you.

Easter Preparations

Thank heaven the girls have learned to appreciate hard boiled eggs. This way I don't feel like we are wasting food when we color eggs. Even still, we only did 16 eggs.

Spring Break

After spending the weekend in Salt Lake City, we are sure loving our Spring Break weather. 

I love this sight. All the neighbor kids that come looking for my kids and they all play outside of our house.

Old roommates and friends

We took another quick trip to Utah so that we could attend the Sat. morning session of Conference. Our good friend and an old roommate of mine, Nikki Roberts, watched the little girls for us. Chris Searle is in the Tabernacle Choir and after the session, we all met up and went to lunch together. Nikki's daughter Brynna came too. The little girls had had so much fun with her. Joel had not been feeling well all day and needed to get back to lay down and none of us were ready to go. 

Joel had tickets for the Priesthood session but was too sick to go. I was able to meet up with another old friend. Jennifer Ludlow and I met the ward we attended after we moved to Stone Mountain, GA. We were 11. After my family moved to Roswell, Jen and I still talked and occasionally got together. I lost track of her some time ago. We reconnected through facebook! I love her dearly and hope to see her more often when we go to Utah!

Ward Chili Cookoff

A couple of weekends ago we had a ward activity. Ben Wellborn played a few songs on his violin and his sister played some guitar. There was dancing and then prizes for the chili and desserts people brought. Fun times!!
