Pops and CC's sealing

Mardi, Keddi, Shinara and I drove to Utah last Thursday to be at the Bountiful temple with Pops (my Dad) and Cynthia for their sealing. I took the girls out of school and we left that morning, arriving in plenty of time for the sealing. Several of my siblings and all of her children (except one daughter-in-law) were able to be there. The sealing was at 6:30, the sealer was adorable and rather long winded, so we got to our sleeping destination a bit late and stayed up later. We stayed with my Aunt Nancy and Uncle Gale.

Water fun

Mandy usually takes her kids to Oregon for about a month every summer to visit Grandparents and cousins. (Most of both sides of the family live there!) Braeden's birthday is at the end of the month and we usually celebrate early. Well, this year is his eighth so Mandy threw a big party. We are bummed to miss his baptism, but most of their extended family will be able to be there and that's fabulous.

The party was held at a water park we love to go to. I have posted pictures of this place before, but the girls have grown and it's a new summer, so here are some more!

Ward Pool Party

The Hills let us use their backyard and pool for another ward party. We rented a jumping house and had all kinds of food. At one point we had several people engaged in a rhythm "class" too.

But the pool was the "hit" of the evening for my girls! They spent most of the 3 1/2 hours we were there in the pool. Bloodshot eyes and clogged ears had to be dealt with before we could get them in bed that night. But what a fun night it was!

Keddi's 1st grade performance

The theme was "Under the Sea" this year and Keddi was a fish and a Beluga Whale. On two occasions she got to come up to the front to perform the dances that went along with her costumes.

The whale number had dancing in it and this is where Keddi really shined. As much as she likes to perform, she isn't as animated with her singing as she is with dance!

Swordfighting-Who needs boys?

I grew up with boys in my family, so no, I am not naive enough to think that what you just saw is anything close to the way boys do it! But, do ya love it?

Out of School

Well, Tersa is out of school. And she has done well this year!! We do not have official grades so we will let everyone in on those later. (I warned my girls that certain things are blog worthy. Perhaps this will be some incentive!!)

Tersa got tagged a while back and we haven't taken the time to answer to it. And she won't be tagging anyone since everyone she would have done has been done! Anyway, here goes- six random things not generally known about Tersa:

1) I sing myself to sleep sometimes. When I can't fall asleep quickly. (Of all my girls only Tersa has fallen asleep after I've said goodnight and before I got out the door!)

2) I love taking care of babies. I like feeding them and rocking them to sleep best.

3)My favorite colors are pink, purple, black and brown.

4)I like to do other people's hair and make-up. But no one in my house will let me. They don't appreciate how long it takes.

5)I would like to be on American Idol.

6)My favorite kind of music is pop rock and country.

Friends

I like to take this picture every year to see how the kids have grown. The boy is the next door neighbor. He's a good kid and is in the same grade as Tersa. He spends time with the girls outside after school, comes to the pool with us sometimes and every once in a while we have a movie or game night at our house which he seems to really enjoy.
